So God's brought you here for a reason...

The Sabbath Movement is the opportunity to deepen your personal relationship with God through a weekly Pause called the Sabbath.

God wants to talk to you! Many equate the Sabbath with just a time to refrain from work or secular things, but it’s so much more than that! God wants to abide with you. Have special dialogue with you. It’s not that you two don’t talk all throughout the week, just that this time is uniquely reserved for nurturing your relationship.  This is an engagement for you two that is meant to be uncommon, significant, and memorable.

We are living in the age where faster and faux are encouraged over paced and authentic. At breakneck speeds, the details of life’s expanse zip pass in a blur, overlooked. The opportunity to fully experience any given moment, relate to it, and reflect on it is often ten seconds behind us.

How much more could we appreciate our lives if we paused periodically to truly experience the moment? Pausing means we can actually see the details and get up close and personal.

How much more could you appreciate God if you paused periodically to truly experience Him? In such a way that you see God up close and personal for yourself – His personality, His mannerisms, His sense of humor, and the way he uniquely loves you.

God foresaw that we would need a Pause to remember Him and to reflect on life, so He set aside the Sabbath as a holy day of rest for us to do just that.  The Sabbath Movement is about embracing God’s Sabbath for the sole purpose of embracing God.

The Sabbath Movement establishes several Brakes that we can use to slow us down each week and pay attention to Him.  Each Brake helps develop our relationship with God as an individual (iPause) and within a community (wePause).

Please take a few more moments and read more about the Sabbath Movement and how living it can help to strengthen your relationship with God.

Brother or sister, please decelerate. Pause to spend quality time with God at the divine intersection every week. Have a great time. We'll be there too!
