iPause - intersecting with God as an individual
Do you really want to get to know God? God desperately – yes desperately – wants to get to know you. Spending time together is the only way you and God can get to know each other. He loves you so much and is pleading with you to reciprocate by spending time with Him. [FYI: God has experienced the most unrequited love in the history of the earth.]
God knows the best and worst of you. He wants to help you discard the muck while simultaneously polishing the jewels He’s placed within you. The deeper your relationship, the more He can reveal Himself to you and sculpt your heart. He can only do this if you give Him the opportunity.
This may sound like a no-brainer, but your relationship with God has to be your own. The testimonies and experiences from others are meant to validate who He is or perhaps show interesting new facets of Him. They are not intended to be the basis of your experience with Him. That’s like knowing God through somebody else. How valid of a relationship is that?
This is why the Sabbath Movement has the component of iPause. It signifies our need to have an individual relationship with God and also reminds us how God loves one by one.
