The Facebook Campaign

This component especially has the potential to be extremely powerful and far-reaching.

Every Sabbath change your personal profile picture to the official symbol of the Sabbath Movement, the Pause sign. Add the Prayer as the caption.

Changing your profile picture symbolizes that you, yourself, are pausing. It is an individual proclamation that you are officially on pause during the Sabbath period. More than that though, you're signaling to God that:

  1. You are committed to focusing on Him by changing your public image to something that highlights Him and removes the focus off of you, and
  2. You're not afraid to demonstrate your devotion to Him before all your Facebook (FB) friends and the world

Imagine scanning your friends list on any given day and seeing the majority of them with the same profile picture. Perhaps you'd think to yourself, what in the world is going on? or why am I not in the know? If you're a FB junkie like me, you'd put your PI hat on immediately and begin searching for clues to the profile picture phenomenon.

Imagine this but instead of the next profile picture fad, it would be a symbol that draws attention to God:

  1. What an amazing sign of solidarity it would be across FB to see thousands of people all pausing at the same time! A united front of people who embrace a personal God and are open about their devotion to Him.
  2. An undeniable testament that you are not alone in your quest for God and your desire to pause for Him every week.
  3. The number of people who will quizzically investigate the mystery of the green pause sign to only land on a website that presents principles that could be life-changing and provide deliverance in so many areas of their lives!
  4. If for but one second you journey to this website, you will at minimum see the instructions in bold yellow in the top right corner to TALK TO GOD. Now etched into your visual memory, that reminder is always there. This is what God wants most of all.
