wePause - intersecting with God as a community

There is power in numbers.  Nothing is stronger than a group of people with one passion, one vision, and one spirit.  This is the essence of true community.

The early church was all about community. Just reading the first several chapters of Acts we can see how much the disciples accomplished because of their unity.  They thrived and exponentially swelled God’s church because of their solidarity.

Nowadays, we’re losing this sense of community.  This “connected” fast-paced society is fragmenting us more in some ways.  Relationships are reduced to online chats or occasional text messages.  The zabillion denominations out there don’t help much.  Church cliques and church competition breeds separatism. What are we doing?

This isn’t some New World Order promotion or anything, this is reviving what works. There is beauty in being on one accord with a body of like-minded individuals. It not only strengthens the community but strengthens the individuals themselves.

This is why the Sabbath Movement has the component of wePause.  It emphasizes our need to have a relationship with God in community and also reminds us how God pours out His spirit when His children unite.

Jesus said “…if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them…where two or three are gathered together in my name, I will be there in the midst.” (Matthew 18:19-20) With that said, what happens if there’s a million of us?
